Aura Seeker is official. Japan revealed the next MEGA expansion this week, confirming a November 27 release, a main set of 78 cards, and a first look at 20 cards. We already knew Mega Lucario Z ex would lead the way after its Worlds reveal in August. What nobody had seen yet is that Lucario is not the only Z Mega Evolution in the set.

Mega Absol Z ex Steals the Show

Mega Absol Z ex is card 030 of 078, a Psychic type Basic with 270 HP, and its artwork by 5ban Graphics is pure drama, all sweeping fur and sharp colour. Absol has always had a loyal following, and this Z form gives those collectors a card that looks like nothing else in the binder.

The attack earns the artwork. Bloody Fear does 160 damage for two Psychic Energy and one Colorless Energy, and during your opponent turn that follows, they cannot attach Special Energy from their hand and cannot play any Stadium cards. Locking two parts of a game plan at once is a real headache to play against. Like every Mega Evolution ex, it gives up three Prize cards when it is Knocked Out, so every swing carries real risk.

Mega Garchomp Z ex Is a Mountain

If Absol is the stylish one, Mega Garchomp Z ex is the heavy one. Card 067 of 078 is a Dragon type Stage 2 that evolves from Gabite, with 360 HP, the kind of number that makes an opponent stop and do math.

Dragon Avenger does 30 damage for every Dragon Pokemon in your discard pile, so the attack grows as the game goes on. Sonic Edge is simpler and scarier, a flat 240 damage that is not affected by any effects on your opponent Active Pokemon. Walls and tricks will not soften that hit. Two very different attacks on one huge body is a lovely design, and Garchomp fans have waited a long time for a Mega this imposing.

Pawmot Gets to Attack Twice

Not every fun reveal is a Mega. Pawmot, card 025 of 078, is a Lightning type Stage 2 with 130 HP and an Ability called Double Strike, which lets this Pokemon attack twice in a row. If the first attack Knocks Out the opponent Active Pokemon, the second attack lands on the new one they promote. Mach Bolt does 100 damage for two Lightning Energy, so a Double Strike turn can put 200 damage into the game in one go.

The smaller reveals add plenty of flavour too. Meloetta can search your deck for up to three Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench. A new Korrina Supporter makes your Mega Evolution ex attacks hit harder for every Prize card your opponent has taken. Fight Arena, the final card in the set at 078 of 078, heals Pokemon that do not carry a Rule Box.

What This Means for Flowing Fists

These Japanese cards are expected to form the heart of Flowing Fists, the English edition arriving February 5, 2027, so English collectors just got a much clearer picture of what they will be chasing this winter. Three Z Mega Evolution cards in one small set is a strong identity, and small sets have a real charm because a master set feels within reach again.

Aura Seeker lands in Japan on November 27, right in the busiest stretch of the collecting year. Japanese stock for a set with this much excitement can be hard to secure once the first wave moves, so collectors who want the Japanese versions should plan ahead rather than wait.
