Three Bats, One Pumpkin Stamp: Pokeween Promos Fly Away on October 31

Halloween lands on Saturday, and Pokeween is down to its final days. All month, Play! Pokemon stores have been handing out three special promo cards for the season, a Zubat, a Golbat and a Crobat, each one wearing a small Pikachu pumpkin stamp on its artwork. The promotion ends on October 31, so anyone who wants the full set has one weekend left to earn it.

A full evolution line on one binder page

The three cards come from Mega Evolution Chaos Rising, released back in May. Zubat is number 049/086, illustrated by Mékayu, Golbat is 050/086, illustrated by Mousho, and Crobat is 051/086, illustrated by IKEDA Saki. Each promo keeps its regular set number and gains two marks of the season, the pumpkin stamp in the corner of the artwork and a Play! Pokemon logo watermark behind the attack text. A sticker sheet covered in Ghost types, including Sableye, Cubone, Greavard and Mimikyu, rounds out the rewards. As collecting projects go, this one is small and satisfying, three cards that belong together on a single binder page.

The Crobat can actually play

It would be easy to file these away as binder candy, but the Crobat deserves a second look. It is a Stage 2 Darkness Pokemon with 130 HP, and its Ability, Nighttime Maneuvers, lets you search your deck for any card and place it on top of your deck once during your turn, as long as Crobat is in the Active Spot. That is genuine consistency hiding on a Halloween promo. Its attack, Poison Sound Wave, does 80 damage and leaves the Defending Pokemon both Confused and Poisoned. Golbat helps on the way up with Covert Flight, an attack that shields it from damage by Basic Pokemon during your opponent turn that follows, and little Zubat opens the line with Supersonic, which leaves the Defending Pokemon Confused.

How the last weekend works

There is no single way to earn the cards, because every participating store runs Pokeween in its own way. Open play, trade sessions and tournaments are the sorts of activities stores are using, and each store sets its own schedule for which cards it hands out and when. The smart move is to check the Play! Pokemon Event Locator, then look at the store page or call ahead before you travel, and ask which of the three cards are still being given out this weekend. Once October ends, the stamped versions are done, and the secondhand market becomes the only route left.

No BOOster bundle this year

Longtime Halloween collectors may be wondering about Trick or Trade, the mini pack bundle that filled candy bowls in 2022, 2023 and 2024. No new bundle has been announced for this year, and 2025 followed the same pattern as 2026, with a single stamped Spiritomb promo at Play! Pokemon stores instead of a full new set. That makes the bat trio the whole Halloween chase this year, and honestly, a tidy one. Three cards, one stamp, one binder page, and a deadline that fits the season perfectly. Happy hunting, and happy Pokeween.
