The Halloween releases have landed. On October 2, a brand new Enhanced 2 Pack Blister hit shelves, and it is one of the most charming seasonal products The Pokémon Company has put out in a while. Three ghostly fan favorites, a shiny metallic coin, and two booster packs, all for 10.99 USD ($15.66 CAD).

It is the kind of product that disappears fast every year, so here is what is inside and why collectors are talking about it.

The three promo cards

Every blister includes three exclusive Pixel Cosmos Holofoil promos, and the lineup reads like a Halloween guest list.

Gengar from Perfect Order is the star of the show. This Stage 2 bruiser carries the Infinite Shadow Ability, which sends Gengar back to your hand instead of the discard pile if it is knocked out by an attack. Its Mind Jack attack hits for 10 plus 30 for each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon, which can add up in a hurry. The artwork by Masako Tomii shows Gengar looming in a dark bedroom, which is exactly the energy you want in October.

Team Rocket's Mimikyu from Ascended Heroes is the wildcard. Its Gemstone Mimicry attack lets it copy one of your opponent's Active Tera Pokémon's attacks and use it as its own, which makes for some sneaky plays. Between the disguise theme and the Team Rocket branding, this might be the most Halloween card of the three.

Marshadow from Pitch Black rounds out the trio. Shadowy Knot deals 30 damage for each Energy in your opponent's Active Pokémon's Retreat Cost, so it punishes heavy retreaters. The art shows Marshadow lurking in a bamboo forest, quiet and menacing.

What else is in the pack

Alongside the three promos, each blister comes with a metallic Mega Gengar coin and two booster packs. Early reports say the packs are typically one Chaos Rising and one Pitch Black, so you get a mix of the newest set and the Mega Evolution era darkness theme.

A Pitch Black mini portfolio also launched the same day at 5.49 USD ($7.82 CAD), featuring Mega Greninja and Mega Zeraora on the front with Mega Darkrai and Mega Chandelure on the back. It holds 60 cards and includes one Pitch Black booster pack, which makes it a tidy little companion pickup.

Worth grabbing while you can

Seasonal products like this one have a way of vanishing from shelves, and last year stock was patchy long before Halloween. If you spot one at your participating store, it is genuinely a fun buy: three exclusive cosmos holo promos, a cool coin, and packs to open, all at a friendly price. Gengar has always been a collector favorite, and a Halloween blister built around it just feels right. Happy hunting, and happy spooky season.
