Good news, Canada. The next McDonald's Pokemon promotion now has confirmed dates, a full card list, and a fun twist, and Canada gets to start collecting before anyone else. The promotion runs in Canada from Tuesday, November 3 to Monday, December 7, a full week before it begins in the United States on November 10. Australia starts on November 5, so Canadian collectors can enjoy a small head start this time around. Our earlier post covered this promotion when it was still a report. Now the details are real, and there is plenty to get excited about.
Two Cards and a Toy in Every Meal
Every Happy Meal in the promotion comes with one of 15 plastic toys shaped like mini Happy Meal boxes, each one decorated with a different Pokemon. The back of each little box works as a frame, so you can display a favourite card inside it. Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle and Umbreon are among the 15 designs, alongside deeper picks like Espurr, Minccino and Weedle. This is the first time since 2018 that Happy Meals have included plastic Pokemon toys, which makes the boxes a collectible chase all on their own.
Each meal also includes two random Pokemon cards from a set of 15. Past promotions used packs of four cards, so two at a time is a change. Completing the set will take more meals, more trading with friends, and a little more patience than usual.

The Full 15 Card Checklist
The cards are reprints of cards from recent sets, printed again with McDonald's set numbering from 1 of 15 to 15 of 15. The full list is Decidueye, Chandelure, Palafin, Pikachu, Mimikyu, Lucario, Hawlucha, Tyranitar, Absol, Zoroark, Metagross, Jirachi, Eevee, Snorlax and Wooloo. It is a cheerful mix, with modern favourites like Mimikyu and Zoroark sharing space with classics like Pikachu, Eevee and Snorlax.
The Pikachu above is card 4 of 15, reprinted from Temporal Forces, while the Eevee below is card 13 of 15, reprinted from Shrouded Fable. How many of the 15 cards will be holo is still unknown. McDonald's holo cards have always used a confetti holofoil finish, and that sparkling pattern is a big part of why collectors love completing these little sets.

A Chase Worth Planning For
Fifteen cards sounds gentle until you remember that each meal brings only two random cards. Duplicates are guaranteed, and the last few cards on a checklist always feel like the hardest ones to land. Trading duplicates with friends and fellow collectors will matter more than ever this year, and that social side of the chase is honestly the best part of these promotions.
A word of friendly advice from experience: popular locations can run through their toys and cards quickly during a Pokemon promotion, and nobody can promise that a given restaurant will still have them late in the run. If this set is on your list, start early in November, enjoy the meals, and swap your doubles as you go. Canada gets the first seat at the table this time, so let us make it count.
